Here's a little bit about the author of this blog in her own words:

"A very warm welcome to all of you. I am Lee Orlian, resident of Chicago, make-up artist par excellence! Since this is an 'About Me' page, I am here to tell you something about myself, what I do, and the philosophy that guides my work. But obviously!

A lot of people believe that make-up is about making women beautiful. Personally speaking, I disagree with that. There is no woman on this earth who is not beautiful. Beauty is inherent in all of us, since that's the way it's meant to be. So, make-up is not to make us look more beautiful, it's to enhance the beauty that already exists within us and all that a make-up artist can do is to bring it out and make it more prominent. That's what I do... and, may I mention here, do it very well.

Having grown up in Israel, I graduated from the Marie Helene Makeup School in Tel Aviv. From then to now, I have got close to 5 years of experience under my belt and I can safely say that this journey has helped me grow as a make-up artist and I have come a long way, indeed. Today, I know how to make someone look better in a jiffy with just a few strokes of the brush and some minor touch-ups."
